Austrian-Indo couple Christine and Sonu realized their dream of running a cafe in the Himalayas – and Secret Garden Cafe is indeed a dream space for food lovers.
Christine comes from a family with a great homecooking tradition. She works with her family's recipes and prepares classics such as Kaiserschmarrn, or the most delicious cakes. She also explores creatively local ingredients and gives each dish a unique contemporary spin.
The emphasis is on quality not quantity. And so the team sources the best ingredients such as organic coffee beans from Auroville for their delicious cappuccino and espresso, or Himalayan rock salt and olive oil for cooking.
The interior of the cafe reflects Christine's and Sonu's dedication and attention to detail. So apart from the lovely food, also the furniture, colours, textures and lights invite guests to stay longer. Alternatively, you can lounge in the huge garden with views towards the jungle and hillside.
