The Seventh Heaven is a beautiful hotel in Tapovan and it feels indeed like a place where exalted beings and angels would dwell – bright, homely, positive, airy. If you stay here you will feel happy, literally like in heaven.
Kalam and Charlotte both lived in Rajasthan for many years before their paths crossed. Kalam is originally from the Uttarakhand mountains. He worked many years in Mumbai and Jaipur, before he met Charlotte from England.
Both felt drawn to Rishikesh, and eventually build their own hotel here in 2012. The joined venture, the Seventh Heaven Inn, reflects their multicultural background. And in view of their love of Rajasthan, it does not surprise to find Haveli architecture elements as well as Rajasthani interiors and decor featured in the house. In fact, friends from Rajasthan helped Kalam and Charlotte with the building plans.
The 20 cosy, yet light and spacious bedrooms have been individually decorated and furnished with a charming blend of European styling and Indian designs. All rooms have balconies with views of the Himalayas and forests beyond.
More recently a new wing was added with extra rooms, a larger yoga studio and cafe.
The Seventh Heaven is optimally located in the heart of Tapovan, just a 5 minutes walk from Ganga and Laxman Jhula bridge.
